The shower drain manufacturer follows a rigorous testing protocol to ensure the quality and durability of their products. Tests cover corrosion resistance, cleaning agent performance, flow capacity, load-bearing, pressure resistance, anti-overflow capability, self-cleaning ability, and more. These standards, aligned with industry specifications, guarantee that the shower drains exhibit robustness, resistance to environmental factors, and effective functionality. The manufacturer’s commitment to these high-quality standards underscores their dedication to providing reliable and durable shower drain solutions.
I. Corrosion resistance test of coating and plating
After a 24-hour acidic salt spray test according to GB/T 10125, it should not be lower than the requirement of appearance rating (RA) 9 in Table 1 of GB/T 6461-2002.
II. Anti-cleaning agent performance test
After a 16-hour detergent resistance test for the organic coating surface, the surface should be free from blistering, peeling, corrosion, and other phenomena.
III. Alkaline reagent cleaning resistance test
In the ambient temperature of 23 ± 2 °C and relative humidity of 40% ~ 70% ~ 70% of the conditions, respectively, take two drops (about 0.10 mL) of NaOH solution, drop in different positions of the organic coating (preferably on the flatter surface), and retain for 16 h or 24 h. The surface should not appear blistering, peeling, corrosion, or other phenomena.
IV. Acid reagent cleaning resistance test
In the ambient temperature of 23 ± 2 °C and relative humidity of 40% ~ 70% of the conditions, respectively, take two drops (about 0.10 mL) of HCI solution, drop in different positions of the organic coating (preferably on the flatter surface), and retain for 16 hours. The surface should not appear blistering, peeling, corrosion, or other phenomena.
V. Shower drain flow test
According to GB / T 27710-2011 “shower drains” standard requirements: shower drains of the submerged water depth constant in (15 ± 1) mm, for shower drains <40mm diameter <40mm for shower drainage of the shower drain flow ≥ 0.16L / s.
VI. Load-bearing capacity test
Shower drain grates or shower drain cover plate bearing 750N ± 5N load 30s ± 2s, there should be no deformation, cracks, or other phenomena.
VII. Pressure resistance performance test
Shower drains bear 200kPa±10kPa water pressure; keep 30s±2s after the body; there should be no leakage or deformation.
Eight. Anti-overflow performance test
Anti-overflow shower drains and mechanical sealing shower drains should be able to prevent overflow water through the grate to the ground, Anti-overflow parts should be
0 kPa±1 kPa
Flexible and free of jamming. Its performance should be in line with the 40 kPa ± 1 kPa water pressure conditions to ensure that 30 ± 2 minutes do not return to the overflow.
Nine. Self-cleaning ability test
The self-cleaning ability of water-sealed shower leakage that is not removable for cleaning should be able to reach more than 90%; the self-cleaning ability of water-sealed shower leakage that is removable for cleaning should be able to reach more than 80%.
IX. Self-cleaning ability test
The self-cleaning ability of non-detachable cleaning water-seal shower leakage should be able to reach more than 90%; the self-cleaning ability of detachable cleaning water-seal shower leakage should be able to reach more than 80%.
Ten. Hot and cold cycle test
After conducting the hot and cold cycle tests, there shall be no deformation, no crack, and no leakage.
XI: Water seal stability test
When the shower drain reaches the depth of the water seal, the remaining depth of the water seal in the shower drain should not be less than 20mm when the air pressure with a vacuum degree of 400 kPa±10 kPa is applied at the drain and lasts for 10 s.
